Biography:
Professor Chen Dawen is a tenured professor at Tongji University and a doctoral advisor. He is the Chairman of the Academic Committee of the School of Marxism at Tongji University. Recognized as a distinguished teacher under China’s "Ten Thousand Talents Program," he also serves as the Deputy Director of the Teaching Steering Committee for "Ideological and Morality and Rule of Law" under the Ministry of Education, and the Committee for Ideological and Political Theory Courses in Shanghai universities.
Professor Chen's primary research areas include moral and legal education and the theory of rule of law. Throughout his longstanding career in higher education, he has held various leadership positions such as Head of the Department, Director of Publicity, and Dean of the School. He has published over 60 papers in prominent journals including "Chinese Journal of Law," "China Soft Science," and the "Leading Journal of Ideological and Theoretical Education." Additionally, he has authored eight textbooks and monographs. Professor Chen has led over ten national social science fund projects and provincial-level projects, and has received the National Outstanding Textbook Award along with seven national and provincial teaching achievement awards.
