Biography:
Dr. Luo Yuting is the Dean of the Institute of Ideological and Political Education at Wuhan University, a professor at the School of Marxism, and a distinguished Luojia Scholar. He serves as the Chief Expert of the Central Marxism Theory Research and Construction Project, the convener of the State Council's Discipline Review Group, an expert in the discipline review group of the National Social Science Fund, and a recipient of the State Council's special government allowance.
Prof. Luo concurrently holds several significant positions: he is the Deputy Director of the Teaching Steering Committee for Marxism Theory under the Ministry of Education, a member of the Teaching Steering and Consultation Committee for Ideological and Political Theory Courses in Higher Education, and the Vice President of the Chinese Society of Marx-Engels Studies. Additionally, he is the Vice Chairman of the Professional Committee on Ideological and Moral Construction of the Chinese Society of Educational Development Strategy, the Deputy Director of the Academic Committee of the National Research Association for Ideological and Political Education in Higher Education, and a Specially Invited Researcher at the National Society for Party Building Studies.
His primary research areas include ideological and political education, the Sinicization and modernization of Marxism, and the concepts of soft power and cultural soft power. Prof. Luo has led more than ten major projects funded by the National Social Science Fund and the Ministry of Education, as well as other provincial and ministerial-level projects. He has authored and edited over twenty monographs and textbooks, with representative works including "Theory of Spiritual Motivation," "Theory of Ideological and Political Education Integration," and "China's Soft Power Construction and Development Strategy."
Prof. Luo has published over 230 papers in authoritative and core journals such as "Social Sciences in China," "Studies on Marxism," and "Educational Research," with more than 80 articles reprinted in "Xinhua Digest," "Chinese Social Science Digest," and "China Social Science Excellence." He has received eight provincial and ministerial awards for outstanding achievements in social science and teaching, including three first prizes.
